3C Leadership Model

Thornton's leadership model, proposed in 1999, outlines three key undertakings for leaders: challenging the status quo, building confidence, and coaching. Leaders can challenge the status quo by moving others out of their comfort zones, creating a compelling vision, and setting audacious goals. Building confidence involves believing in people, recognizing improvements, and empowering decision-making. Coaching focuses on clarifying top performance, role modeling, and providing feedback. These elements form the three C's of Thornton's model.
