VOICED : Conmebol suspende Copa Libertadores-2020, FIFA posterga eliminatorias sudamericanas

The FIFA postponed the South American qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision came after requests from South American federations, as many players are based in Europe, where travel restrictions and quarantine measures are in place. Argentina, for instance, has players in Italy, a heavily affected country. Additionally, the Conmebol temporarily suspended the Copa Libertadores matches scheduled for mid-March. As of now, 147 COVID-19 cases have been reported in South America, including one death in Argentina.
