Bodies were found near the post office and a hotel, where emergency teams are treating the injured. Since November, Ukraine has been engulfed in protests against the government due to the president's refusal to sign an association agreement with the EU, favoring closer ties with Russia. The short truce was announced with the arrival of European diplomats for a meeting, which was initially canceled for security reasons but later confirmed to be taking place.
