VOICED : Honduras reanuda conteo de votos entre protestas por fraude

In Tegucigalpa, tens of thousands of Hondurans protested against alleged fraud in the recent presidential elections. The opposition, led by candidate Salvador Nasralla, demanded a recount of more than 5,000 voting records due to suspected irregularities. The electoral authority, however, only agreed to review 1,006 records. With 94.35% of the votes counted, incumbent President Juan Orlando Hernández led with 42.92% against Nasralla's 41.42%. Initial results had shown Nasralla leading by 5 points, but this changed after updates and system interruptions. The situation led to violent protests, looting, and clashes with police, prompting a state of emergency and curfew. Several people were injured, and a young woman died, with authorities investigating the incident.
