The 2020 Boston Marathon Will Now Be Held Virtually

Mayor Martin Walsh canceled the Boston Marathon due to COVID-19 concerns, opting for a virtual marathon in September. Participants will receive refunds and can complete the marathon remotely between September 7th and 14th, with proof of time required for next year's qualification. The BAA will provide printable finish lines and rewards for finishers. Virtual events and activities will be held during marathon week.
