Gary and the Great Inventors by Akura Marshall

Gary and his twin brother Isaac, along with their friends, visit Mr. Baker's laundromat in Washington, DC. They discover a new sign about organic dry cleaning and learn about Thomas Jennings, the first African American to receive a U.S. patent for his dry scouring method. Inspired by Jennings' story, Gary dreams of becoming a great inventor.
