Living Green - Episode 167 - Columbia Forest

The Kionga Marine Reserve in Kenya, established in 1979, spans 250 square kilometers and is home to numerous species, including endangered sea turtles and dugongs. The reserve features some of the tallest mangrove trees on the East African coast. Historically, local communities relied on fishing, farming, and mangrove harvesting. Today, they are learning marine conservation techniques to protect these natural resources and promote marine life recovery.
