Vikram Pandit from SynTouch introduces the BioTac sensor, a device capable of sensing force, vibration, and temperature, similar to a human finger. Developed initially at USC, the sensor is a flexible circuit molded into epoxy. While the BioTac sensor provides detailed sensory information, a new sensor was developed to incorporate contact detection, simulating a spinal reflex, making it function more like a normal hand.
