Moderna: Vaccine Produced Strong Immune Results In Kids

Moderna's trial results indicate that smaller doses of their vaccine generate a strong immune response in children aged 6 to 11, with antibody response noted a month after the second dose. Although not yet peer-reviewed, Moderna plans to submit these findings to the FDA. Meanwhile, Pfizer is prepared to distribute its vaccine for children aged 5 to 11, pending FDA authorization. The FDA has indicated that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, over 6 million children in the US have contracted COVID-19 since the pandemic began, out of 45 million total cases nationwide.
