American And Delta Airlines Cut Flights Over Coronavirus Outbreak

US airlines, including American and Delta, are reducing domestic and international flights due to the coronavirus. American will cut domestic flights by 7.5% and international by 10%, while Delta will reduce domestic flights by 10-15% and international by 22.25%. Delta also plans a hiring freeze and voluntary leave options. Airlines began cutting flights to China in January, and many have waived change and cancellation fees. The virus has caused over 4,000 deaths and infected over 116,000 people globally. United and JetBlue have also announced flight cuts, while Southwest's CEO is taking a pay cut amid declining bookings.
