5 U.S. Cities To Test Flu Patients For Coronavirus

The CDC announced that patients with flu-like symptoms in major US cities will be screened for a new virus if they test negative for the flu. Currently, 15 people in the US have been diagnosed with coronavirus, and over 600 are in quarantine. This is minor compared to China's 66,000 confirmed cases. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar stated that the US has screened over 32,000 people entering the country for COVID-19. The new plan to test flu patients acts as an early warning system. The CDC intends to expand testing to more cities as the situation evolves.
