VOICED : Hombres armados secuestran a 140 estudiantes en una escuela en Nigeria

In northwest Nigeria, 140 students were kidnapped from Betel Secondary School in Kaduna, marking the third major attack in the area in three days. Criminal groups, known as bandidos, have been targeting schools and other institutions for ransom. The governor of Kaduna, Nasir Ahmad el Rufai, opposes paying ransoms to discourage further kidnappings. Since December, around 1,000 students have been kidnapped, with most released after negotiations, but some remain captive. No arrests have been made.
