Wildfires continued in central Portugal, with 1,200 firefighters, 400 vehicles, and 13 planes mobilized. The fires have resulted in 64 deaths and 204 injuries, with only half of the victims identified due to severe burns. In Góis, the fire reignited due to wind, causing 18 minor injuries mainly from smoke inhalation. Some evacuated residents have returned home. The fires may have been caused by arson or a dry storm.
