Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales met with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen to discuss strengthening cooperation while ensuring transparency to prevent corruption. Taiwan aims to enhance its involvement in technology, tourism, and infrastructure in Guatemala. Over the past five years, Guatemala received $62 million in aid from Taiwan. Tsai's visit is part of a Central American tour to reinforce Taiwan's alliances in the region, where it has more allies than China.
