A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking sunlight and casting a shadow on Earth. At the center of this shadow, a total eclipse of the sun can be observed. The upcoming November 14th eclipse will travel across the Pacific Ocean, ending 800 kilometers west of Chile. It will be visible in northeastern Australia around 6:38 AM.
