The U.S. Supreme Court has allowed President Joe Biden to end the 'Remain in Mexico' program, initially implemented by former President Donald Trump. This program required asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their cases were processed in the U.S. The Court ruled that ending the policy does not violate immigration law, granting the president discretion over such matters. Despite this, the number of migrants attempting to cross the U.S. southern border has increased, partly due to Biden's promises of a fair and humane immigration policy. In May, a record number of over 230,000 migrants were registered at the border.
