The Islamic State claimed responsibility for a supermarket explosion in San Petersburgo, Russia, injuring 13 people. President Putin labeled it a terrorist act. In December, Russian security, aided by the CIA, dismantled a jihadist cell planning attacks in San Petersburgo.
