VOICED : Portugal aboga por elecciones justas y libres en Venezuela

Portuguese Chancellor Augusto Santos Silva visited Caracas to advocate for a presidential election schedule ensuring fair elections in Venezuela. He supports the ongoing dialogue in the Dominican Republic aimed at political stabilization. After meeting with opposition leader Omar Barbosa, Silva urged the Maduro government to respect the National Assembly's powers. The presidential elections, where Maduro seeks re-election, are set for late 2018, but may be advanced. Further negotiations between the government and opposition are planned in Santo Domingo to address Venezuela's crisis.
