Waste Materials in Plants

Plants lack well-defined organ systems but manage essential life processes like nutrition and excretion. Unlike animals, plants produce less toxic waste due to carbohydrate metabolism and efficiently reuse byproducts. They do not require specialized excretion systems. Common waste materials include gases and water, managed through diffusion and transpiration. Plants also produce diverse waste products like acids, gums, resins, and essential oils, which have various uses.
