VOICED : Exprisioneros de Guantanamo protestan en Montevideo

Ex-Guantanamo prisoners in Uruguay protested at the US Embassy in Montevideo over unmet promises by the Uruguayan government. They have not received their monthly subsidy from ACNUR and face legal and communication challenges, including lack of translators and phone service. They seek US mediation to fulfill agreements made upon their release. The prisoners arrived in Uruguay in 2014 under a humanitarian agreement between José Mujica and Barack Obama.
