ONU termina registro de armas de guerrilla FARC en Colombia

The disarmament process of the FARC guerrilla in Colombia is progressing well, as reported by the UN. The registration and identification of FARC-EP's weapons are nearly complete. As part of the peace agreement signed in November between the Colombian government and FARC, guerrillas are concentrated in 26 zones, where they will disarm by the end of May and transition to civilian life and a legal political party. The disarmament is irreversible, with commitments from both parties being solid. The weapons of nearly 7,000 combatants are stored in UN containers and will be melted to create three monuments.
