VOICED: Desempleo record en Espana

In 2012, Spain reached a record unemployment level with 5.6 million unemployed, marking the highest rate since 1996. The unemployment rate was 24.44% of the active population, with youth unemployment at 52%. The number of households with all members unemployed also increased. The unemployment rise began with the 2008 Spanish housing bubble burst, coinciding with the global financial crisis.
