VOICED : Incineran más de 18 toneladas de drogas decomisadas en Perú

The Peruvian police announced the incineration of over 18 tons of illegal drugs seized in the last two months. The destruction includes marijuana, cocaine, and other drugs, and will continue until October 4. Peru has destroyed 70 tons of drugs this year. Anti-drug operations are ongoing in coca-growing regions, where remnants of the Sendero Luminoso guerrilla operate. Peru, along with Colombia and Bolivia, is a major producer of coca and cocaine, with an estimated annual production of 400 tons of cocaine.
