Taipei to test self-driving buses

Taipei plans to test driverless shuttles in the second quarter of next year. The shuttles, designed by Touring Dr. Inc., feature NVIDIA Drive PX2 processors and AI technology for autonomous driving. Sensors will be installed at intersections to help recognize traffic signs. The pilot program will operate on Shingy Rd. at 30 km/h, with a safety operator on board. The shuttles will run between midnight and 5:00 AM to assist late-night commuters.
