George Washington, born without a middle name, inherited a farm at 11 after his father's death. He became a county surveyor and landowner in his teens. At 20, he joined the Virginia militia, gaining military experience during the French and Indian War. After retiring, he married Martha Custas and improved farming at Mount Vernon. Washington returned to lead the American Revolution, forcing British surrender at Yorktown. As the first U.S. President, he served two terms before retiring. He died at 67, leaving a legacy as a prominent leader, owner of the largest whiskey distillery, and America's only six-star general.
