The Hamburg Stadium, also known as AOL Stadium, is a luxurious venue in Germany with a five-star UEFA rating. It hosted five World Cup games and served as the US team's base during the tournament. The stadium was constructed between 1998 and 2000 at a cost of 97 million euros, replacing the old Volksparken Stadion. It features a winged roof and electronic access controls, with a capacity of over 56,000. Inaugurated in 2000, it hosted a match between Germany and Greece. When not hosting international matches, it serves as the home ground for Hamburg SV, the only German club never demoted from the top league.
