VOICED : Chile entre protestas y reformas por la educacion

Michelle Bachelet, the President of Chile, arrived at Congress amid student protests demanding free and quality public education. The protests, which turned violent, were fueled by the exclusion of many students from educational benefits and the memory of past protest victims. In response, Bachelet announced plans to make higher education free for the poorest students and to draft a new constitution.
