Amazon chooses location for its new headquarters

Amazon is expanding with new offices in Queens and Arlington, each covering 37,000 square meters and creating 25,000 jobs. A new operations center in Nashville will span 93,000 square meters, generate $230 million in investment, and create 5,000 jobs. Taxpayer costs per job are $48,000 in New York, $22,000 in Virginia, and $13,000 in Tennessee. Amazon will receive over a billion dollars in tax incentives. Cities were chosen for their transit access, diverse talent, and business environment.
