In a southern Honduran community, around 600 residents of Yusware stormed the home of an Italian neighbor, accusing him of murder. The mob set fire to his house and vehicle, resulting in Giorgio Scannu's death. Reports indicate Scannu was attacked with sticks, machetes, and stones after being accused of killing Juan de Dios Flores, a 74-year-old resident. Despite police attempts to mediate, the attackers ignored orders. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify and capture those responsible.
