Emirates spacecraft to study Venus, grab sample from asteroid

The UAE plans to launch a new space probe in 2028 to study Venus and the main asteroid belt. The mission will involve using a heat shield to orbit Venus, then returning to Earth to gain speed for a journey to the asteroid belt. The probe will observe seven asteroids, land on one, and collect a sample before returning to Earth. If successful, the UAE will become the fourth nation to land a spacecraft on an asteroid. The mission will cover a total distance of 2.2 billion miles.
