Shakespeare Today: Richard III - Act 4 Summary

In Act Four of Richard III, Richard's ruthless pursuit of the crown leads to the imprisonment of his nephews and the manipulation of his family. Queen Elizabeth fears for her son Dorset, who flees to France. Richard orders the assassination of the princes and plans to marry his niece, Elizabeth of York. Buckingham, disillusioned by Richard's broken promises, decides to flee. Tyrrell carries out the murders, and Richard gloats over his deeds. Meanwhile, Richmond gains support to challenge Richard, leading to a final confrontation.
