Los Angeles district attorney recommends resentencing of convicted murderers Erik and Lyle Menendez

The Menendez brothers, Eric and Lyle, were sentenced to life in prison in 1996 for the murder of their parents. Allegations of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse by their father were cited as motives, but this evidence was not allowed in their trial. There is now a possibility of a new trial.
