The Louvre Is No Longer Accepting Cash Over Coronavirus Fears

The Louvre museum reopened after a two-day closure due to staff concerns about the coronavirus. To ease fears, the museum is temporarily accepting only bank cards, though the Bank of France stated that cash is still a legal form of payment and there's no evidence of virus transmission via banknotes. Other French tourist sites like the Palace of Versailles and the Eiffel Tower share similar concerns. As of the latest WHO report, France has over 200 confirmed coronavirus cases, the second highest in Europe.
