After some unrecorded years, he moved to London, joining Lord Chamberlain's Men, where he gained fame as a playwright and actor. His early works include 'The Taming of the Shrew' and 'Romeo and Juliet'. Later, he wrote masterpieces like 'Hamlet' and 'Macbeth'. Shakespeare retired to Stratford and died in 1616, leaving a legacy as one of the greatest dramatists.
