Builds and designs sets for a production.  Works closely with director to get a sense of where the action is taking place.

Responsible for announcing "cues" during a production for lights, sound, sets, props, and actors during a show.

In charge of rehearsing with the orchestra or "pit" for music and also helps direct the actors while they sing on stage.

Funds or pays for the costs during a production and hires a director for a show.

Reads the script and delivers lines on stage to portray a character in a production.

Creates the "lighting look" for different scenes and must work with the director and set designer.

Responsible for leading rehearsals, hiring, actors, and the overall vision of a production.

Creates the sound track for the production by making a collection of music and sounds for the show.

Develops and creates the clothing the actors and actresses will wear to portray a character in a production.

Works with the costume and wig department to create a facial look (old age, animal, time periods, etc.) for each actor.

Responsible for moving scenery, placement of props, and takes directions from the Stage Manager.

Is in charge of creating or locating props and accessories for actors.
