1.
The order of nitrogenous bases (A,T, G, C) in DNA code for the order of amino acids in proteins. Protein synthesis starts when DNA in the nucleus is copied into a messenger mRNA strand. The mRNA strand leaves the nucleus and travels to a ribosome. At the ribosome three nitrogenous bases (a codon) are paired with the anticodon on a transfer tRNA molecule. On the far end of th tRNA molecule is a specific amino acid. The amino acids then bond together in exactly the right order to make a protein which will fold into exactly the right shape! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5mJbP23Buo
