Hey Y'all! Hope you're all doing well. This quizizz is meant to be a review of mean, median, mode, and range. I've given you a few days to complete it, so you can do it in one sitting or save and exit as needed....just don't forget to go back and finish if you do this. Reach out if you need help! This is the last week you'll have assigned work, so go back and finish any missing assignments....this is a big reason why I've assigned so little this week. ALL ASSIGNMENTS SINCE MARCH ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY, MAY 22nd and will not be accepted after this based on the rules the district has given us. Contact me BEFORE May 22nd if you have questions about this date.

a)

I read all of that, including the May 22nd part, and am ready to move on to the quizizz. :-)

b)

I didn't read it (go back and read it).

2.

13, 18, 13, 14, 13, 16, 14, 21, 13

There are 9 numbers in this list.

The MEAN is the average, so I'll add and the numbers together and then divide by how many numbers are in the list:

(13 + 18 + 13 + 14 + 13 + 16 + 14 + 21 + 13) ÷ 9 = 15

What is the mean of this set of numbers?

a)

15

b)

9

c)

13

d)

14

3.

1, 2, 4, 7

There are 4 numbers in this list.

The MEAN is the average, so I'll add and the numbers together and then divide by how many numbers are in the list:

(1 + 2 + 4 + 7) ÷ 4 = 14 ÷ 4 = 3.5

What is the mean of this set of numbers?

a)

4

b)

7

c)

3.5

d)

4.5

4.

8, 9, 10, 10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12, 13

There are 10 numbers in this list.

The MEAN is the average, so I'll add and the numbers together and then divide by how many numbers are in the list:

(8 + 9 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 11 + 11 + 11 + 12 + 13) ÷ 10 = 105 ÷ 10 = 10.5

What is the mean of this set of numbers?

12.

13, 18, 13, 14, 13, 16, 14, 21, 13

The median is the middle value, so first I'll have to rewrite the list in numerical order:

13, 13, 13, 13, 14, 14, 16, 18, 21

There are nine numbers in the list, so the middle one will be the 5th number...it has 4 numbers on each side so the 5th number is in the middle and is the median...see below.

13, 13, 13, 13, 14, 14, 16, 18, 21

What is the median?

a)

13

b)

14

c)

21

d)

13.

1, 2, 4, 7

These numbers are already in numerical order...lucky you!

There are 2 middle numbers:

1, 2, 4, 7

We can't put two answers, so we find the mean of these 2 numbers.

2 + 4 = 6...then divide by 2 since there are 2 middle numbers = 3

What is the median?

a)

6

These numbers are already in numerical order...lucky you!

There are 2 middle numbers:

8, 9, 10, 10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12, 13

We can't put two answers, so we find the mean of these 2 numbers.

10 + 11 = 21...then divide by 2 since there are 2 middle numbers = 10.5

What is the median?

23.

8, 9, 10, 10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12, 13

The mode is the number repeated most often. This list has two values that are repeated three times, 10 and 11. You do NOT have to average these numbers together like you did for median, you can and should put both numbers for the mode.
