The Rabbit and the Turtle
One day a rabbit was boasting about how fast he could run. He was laughing at the turtle for being so slow.
Much to the rabbit’s surprise, the turtle challenged him to a race. The rabbit thought this was a good joke and accepted the challenge. The fox was the umpire of the race. As the race began, the rabbit raced way ahead of the turtle, just like everyone thought.
The rabbit got to the halfway point and could not see the turtle anywhere. He was hot and tired and decided to stop and take a short nap. All this time the turtle kept walking step by step by step. He never quit no matter how hot or tired he got. He just kept going.
However, the rabbit slept longer than he had thought and woke up. He could not see the turtle anywhere! He went at full-speed to the finish line but found the turtle there waiting for him.

I threw my hook as far as I could then I waited for the fish eating my bait. It had been 15 minutes and I finally saw the sign that there was a fish eating my bait. World War II in the Pacific ended after the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. The Empire of Japan surrended to the Allies aboard USS Missouri in 1945. It inspired the East Indies (Indonesian) nationalists to proclaim independence, which the Japanese had promised. Soon, the leaders of the Indonesian nationalists movement insisted that Soekarno, a son of a school-teacher and theosophist, and Hatta, a Sumatra economist, proclaim Indonesian independence on the August 17th, 1945. They were also appointed president and vice-president of the new nation.
After the Japanese fled from the East Indies, the Dutch came back to recover the territory. They realized that the East Indies was very important for the Dutch economy. Armed with Japanese weapons, the nationalists declared war on the Dutch. However, with their modern weapons, the Dutch were able to make significant headway in Sumatra and Java.
The Dutch aggression came under much criticism from the United Nations. They proposed a negotiation between the Dutch and the Indonesian nationalist movement and both sides agreed to negotiate. Eventually, a conference of 120 delegates was held in the Hague (Dutch: Den Haag) in 1949. The Indonesian nationalist delegates were led by Mohammad Hatta. After ten weeks of meetings, both sides reached an agreement by which the Dutch recognised the sovereignty of the United States of Indonesia, with Queen Juliana as the titular head of an Indonesian-Dutch union.

Nuclear Power
There are three separate sources of hazard in the process of supplying energy by nuclear power.
The radioactive material must travel from its place of manufacture to the power station. Although the power station themselves are solidly built, the container used for the transport of the materials are not. There are normally only two methods of transport available, namely road or rail. Unfortunately, both of these involve close contact with the public, since the routes are sure to pass near, or even through, heavily populated areas.
Next, there is the problem of waste. All nuclear power station produce wastes that in most cases will remain radioactive for thousands of years. It is impossible to make these waste nonradioactive, and so they must be stored in one of the inconvenient ways that scientists have invented. For example, they may be buried under the ground, or dropped into abandoned mines, or sunk in the sea. However, these methods do not solve the problem, since an earthquake could easily crack the containers open.
Finally, there is the problem of accidental exposure due to a leak or an explosion at the power station. As with the other two hazards, this is not very likely, so that it does not provide a serious objection to the nuclear program. Nevertheless, it can happen.
Separately, these three types of risks are not great cause for concern. On the whole through, the probability of disaster is still high.
All the statements are correct, except ……
It is not impossible to make these waste nonradioactive.
The probability of disaster of nuclear power is still high.
All nuclear power will produce waste.
The methods found by the scientists do not solve the problem.
Higher Education for Women
In this modern era, there are still some parents who are hesitant about sending their daughters to college. The narrow attitude shown to women’s education is largely due to the traditional role of women in society. A womanis expected to be a wife and a mother. Most parents believe that if their daughter gets married and does not pursue a career but instead chooses to be a housewife, then the higher education will be a waste. However, an educated woman is not only a better wife but also contributes to society.
Nowadays, more and more women are successfully combining career and marriage. Educated woman are richer both emotionally and financially. They are able to find an outlet outside the drudgery and monotony of their homes. They bring more satisfaction and contentment to their lives.
Depriving girls of higher education is crass discrimination. Times have changed; modern’s society needs the talents of its people regardless of gender. Today, women work alongside men. In fact, in the last few decades, women have made outstanding contributions to society.
Woman should be given the freedom to be educated whether or not they get married or go to work after finishing their education because it is only through education that a woman will find herself useful and discover what she wants in life. Women who workis not an insult to her husband. Conversely, her husband should feel proud of her achievements since marriage is actually an equal partnership.
Therefore, parents should not think that girls should receive less education just because they will get married one day.
What is the traditional role of the women in the society?
a career woman
a wife and a mother
an educated woman

The importance of Reading
I personally think that reading is a very important activity in our life. Why do I say so? Firstly, by reading we can get a lot of knowledge about many things in the world such as Science, technology. Sports, arts, culture, etc written in either books, magazine, newspaper, etc.
Secondly, by reading we can get a lot of news and information about something happening in any parts of the world which can we see directly.
Another reason, reading can give us pleasure too. When we are tired, we read books, newspaper or magazine on the entertainment coloumn such as comedy, short story, quiz, etc. To make us relaxed.
The last, reading can also take us to other parts of the world. By reading a book about Irian Jaya we may feel we’re really sitting in the jungles not at home in our rooms.
From the facts above, it’s obvious that everyone needs to read to get knowledge, information and also entertainment. Or in summary we can say reading is truly important in our life.

Seat belt
Nowadays, the police have been applying the new regulation concerning the use of seat belts. In European countries, this regulation has been applied for a long time. However, this new regulation has become controversial and is an interesting topic to discuss. Here are some of the arguments.
The use of seat belts has been proven to reduce the risk of injury or death in an accident. Seat belt has become a standard component in cars. The research shows that most car accident will cause an injury to the head. Frequently, drivers or the passengers driving without seat belts die because of this. By wearing the seat belts, the injury will not happen since belts restrain our body on the car seat when the accident happens.
Unfortunately, many cars, especially the old ones, don’t have seat belts. This is because the traffic conditions in the past were unlike the recent traffic conditions. The designer of old cars didn’t consider a seat belt as an important part. Besides, the drivers wearing the seat belt will think that they are completely safe, so they may drive carelessly. They are safe, indeed, but how about safety of others?
The seat belt is only one of the ways to reduce the risk of car accidents. It doesn’t mean that we are completely safe. In short, our safety depends on ourselves.
Which one is true according to paragraph 3?
the old cars have seat belts for their safety
the old cars have seat belts for their safety
the traffic conditions in the past were similar to the recent
the old cars’ designer considered a seat belt as an important part

The government should Provide rehabilitation Program for Drug Users
Drug users are actually ill people who need help. Rehabilitation is one of the main things they should get. Instead of punishing drug users in prisons, the government should provide rehabilitation for them.
Most users are actually victims of persuasive peddlers and they suffer from consuming the drugs. Therefore, by rehabilitating them, we are actually helping them out from traps, which they might accidentally step on.
If we only arrest drug users and send them to jail, this doesn't solve the problem as drug users will still be addicted unless proper rehabilitation is imposed to them. Providing rehabilitation programs for drug users and forcing them to participate in the programs is better than only arresting them and doing nothing to their illness. Only drug dealers, traffickers, and wholesalers should be imprisoned.
Most drug users get drugs from ....
Traffickers
Peddlers
wholesalers

The use of formalin and other dangerous preservatives in food has been serious problem for three reasons. Firstly, formalin is not for human beings, but it is for biological specimens and experiments. Formalin in Biology is a 10% solution of formaldehyde in water which is usually used as a disinfectant or to preserve biological specimens. Thus, it is not for food preservatives. Of course when it is used for food preservative, it will be very dangerous to human’s body.
The second reason is that there is no tight control from the government. This condition makes the people’s health is really in a threat. When the control is weak and the use formalin was spread wide all over the Indonesian regions, and these days it has really happened, the citizen's bodies will be badly contaminated with the poisons. Fish or food traders still sell their products which contain formalin and dangerous preservatives. Can you imagine that our digestive system absorbs the substance that should be for the human and animal corpses?
Considering the reasons, we can make a conclusion that the use of formalin and other preservatives is really a serious problem if it is not reso
Why is formalin dangerous for human`s body?
It is not food preservatives
It is a disinfectant for human beings
It is used to preserve biological specimens
It is 10% solution of formaldehyde in water
