After barreling through the puddle, he spun around quickly, sending gravel flying through the air. Then Jeff decided he would try to hop the sidewalk with his bike. When he did not make it and fell to the ground, Jeff laughed when he saw his ripped jeans.

Haley smiled at her baby sister as she toddled toward her. “You can do it, walk to me!” Haley said. She couldn’t wait to see Grace walking and running. Haley wanted her sister to do so many fun things with her, like jumping rope and playing hide and seek. When Grace wobbled and fell a few seconds later, Haley scooped her up and said, “That was better than yesterday!”

Mrs. Travers was worried that her students were not understanding what she was teaching in class.
