In the 1975 and 1979 WC, West Indies won both of them. Making them undefeatable. But in the 1983 WC, India managed to qualify to the semis where they defeated England. Then in the finals. India were 183 all out. But that was not disappointing. Because after that, West Indies were 140 all out. Making a change to a WC. But that did not continue. Because Australia won the 1987 WC. Then the Asian countries: Pakistan and Sri Lanka won the 1992 and 1996 WC. Then Australia made a 3 in a row win (1999, 2003 and 2007). Then the glory for India came as they won the 2011 WC. Then Australia made a comeback as they won the 2015 WC. Then in the finals of 2019 WC, there was a tie. So they did a Super Over. But was tied again. So England won because of a boundary check as they made the most boundaries. Then at the 2023 WC, Australia won against India in the finals and won their 6th title.
