In the future, I know that I'll need to use new technology every day.

1.      On twitter, the people who read our messages are known as 'followers' because they follow our messages. It's easy to join Twitter, you complete an online form and choose a user name. A real name isn't used- most people use a nickname. Many famous people are followed on Twitter. Lady Gaga has around 30 million followers!

1.      We use computers and other technology in almost every class. Everybody is given a mobile computer by the school. Nobody buys textbooks. We also do ICT on Wednesday mornings after science. In the future, I don't think we'll have to go to school. We'll all do lessons online, and we'll have more time to do sports with our friends.

1.      The internet is a great way to have fun. I love playing games on my own and with my friends on the computer. I also play games with people that I have not met in real life. Some of them are even in different countries, which is exciting. That sounds awesome! Gaming truly connects people from all over the world.

1.      The History of Cars Cars have a long and interesting history. It is difficult to say when the first car was made. Most people agree that it was made by Karl Benz in 1885. Then in the early twentieth century, cars became widely available. One of the first cars for people to buy was the Model T Ford, made by Henry Ford in the USA. By 1927, Ford had sold 15 million cars.

1.      Riding a bicycle is a cheap and clean way to travel. The first bicycle was made about one hundred and fifty years ago. At first, the bicycles were expensive. Only rich people could buy one. These early bicycles looked very different from the ones we have today. Later, when bicycles became cheaper; many people bought one. People started riding them to work, and in their free time.

People in their homes could watch moving images that were sent from a broadcasting station.

The Flyer traveled only 37 meters, but it marked the first time a machine heavier than air was used to carry a man into the sky.

1.      The television was invented by a Scottish man, John Logie Baird. The first TV pictures were sent over a short distance in 1924, and his invention was shown to people at a special event at the Royal Institute two years later. The pictures on the screen were not very clear, but people could see that they were human faces, and they could see the eyes moving.

1.      Hill running is the sport of running up and down hills and mountains, through open countryside. It's not popular among my friends, but I love it. My dad took me and my brothers out running when we were little, and then when I was about fifteen, I joined a hill running club, called the York Merlins. Since then, running in the hills has become one of my favorite hobbies.

1.      I enjoy watching movies that are based on real stories. It's an interesting way to learn about history, geography, and science. I also like movies that show different places around the world. After watching them, I dream about visiting these places and often check them out on Google Maps. Some of these movies are really well-made, but there are also a lot that aren't enjoyable.

1.      My parents think it's good for me to have a hobby, and I still do all my homework, so they're happy for me to do the blog. The only thing they tell me is to be careful about what I read online. Gwen became the lead singer in the band in 1988 when she was only 19, and she wrote one of the band's biggest hit songs which is called Hey Baby. Gwen really likes musical films and her favourite is the one called The Sound of Music.

1.      I always like films about true stories. Watching such films sometimes helps me with my homework. I also like films which show different places around the world. After watching these kinds of films, I dream about going to these places and look at the places on Google maps. I often go to the cinema on Fridays. However, I would prefer to go at the weekend because there are special ticket offers, but I can't, as I have a weekend job.

1.      "Titanic" is a famous movie directed by James Cameron, released in 1997. It is about a romantic love between a rich young woman, Rose and Jack, a poor artist. They meet on the RMS Titanic, a big luxury ship, which sadly sinks on its first journey in 1912. The movie also shows the bravery of the passengers and crew as the ship sinks. Titanic was very successful and won 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

1.      Mike usually goes to the cinema about once a month, most often on Saturdays, to watch films about police catching criminals. He prefers American films because they often have faster cars and exciting action scenes, which he enjoys more than science parts. Mike's parents don't like going to the cinema; they prefer watching movies online. However, he doesn't mind because his friend Jane always comes with him.
