Locate the EAI and grasp it by forming a fist around it.

Remove the safety cap or lid.

Place the tip of the EAI against the upper, outer area of the mid thigh. Push firmly to inject and hold for at least 3 seconds.

Remove the unit and note the time the injection was given.

Call 911.
