A number that has more than one pair of factors. Example: 15 (1x15, 3x5). Factors: 1, 3, 5, 15. 4 factors; 2 factor pairs.

A pair of numbers that are multiplied together to give a product. Example: 3 and 6 are a factor pair of 18 (3x6).

Whole numbers that multiply together to get to the given number. Example: The factors of 20 are 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, and 20.
