6

Natural Fibres

  • Fibres that are produced by plants, animals, and geological processes.

  • Natural fibers can also be matted into sheets to make paper or felt.

Wool

Wool is a natural fibre which is obtained from the fur of animals like sheep, goat, yak ,etc . These animals bear two types of hair – coarse hair and fine hair. Fine soft hair is found close to the skins of these animals. The fine soft under the layer of their thick hair is called ‘fleece’.
