Discipline Procedures: Effective and clear guidelines of interaction are very important to maintain a successful learning environment, therefore is our responsibility (teacher, students, parents) to have a safe and secure learning place free from disruption, disrespect and defiance. Consequences: The following actions will be taken as necessary 1st offense: Warning/and or reprimand. The teacher will tell/remind the student not to engage in inappropriate behavior or give the student a reminder of the rule 2nd offense- Conference with the student and /or time out 3rd offense: Contact Parent and/or Detention (If a student has been assigned detention you must bring it back signed by your parents/guardian. If it is not signed, the detention will be rescheduled. Detention will be assigned ONLY(9:40-10:00) in the morning If a student skips the detention, it will be rescheduled one time but if he/she misses the detention for a 2nd time he/she will be referred to the appropriate administrator 4th offense: Refer to guidance and/or academic support team 5th offense: intervention conference with parent, student, teacher and/or supportive staff member 6th offense: Referral
