The Trick

Metis tricks Cronus by feeding him a herb. Instead of making him unconquerable, it made him sick. He threw up Zeus' brothers and sisters and the stone that he thought was Zeus.

Prometheus and Epimetheus

Titans who joined Zeus in the flight against Cronus.

Prometheus could look into the future and see that Zeus would defeat Cronus.

The Hundred-armed ones fought along side Zeus with all their strength.

The Cyclops forged mighty weapons and were great masons (builders).

He sent them to live in Tararus.

The hundred-armed ones stood guard at te gates of Tartarus.

The strongest Titan was send to the end of the world to carry forever the vault of the sky on his shoulders.

Typhon and Echidna

• Created by Ghea after Zeus since the Titans to Tartarus.

• Terrible Monsters

• Defeated by Zeus and his allies

• Typhon was trapped under a mountain

• Echidna left to live in a cave with her offspring

After

After the defeat of Typon and Echidna, Ghea no longer tried to overtake Zeus.

The Cyclops built a towering palace for the gods on Mount Olympus.

The palace was believed to be hidden in the clouds.
