Intolerable Acts-1774

These acts were put in place by the British government when the colonists showed their resentment towards British taxes. The Boston Tea Party was a major event that occurred that caused the British to impose these Acts. These acts required the colonists to provide housing for British soldiers, close Boston Harbor until the tea from the Boston Tea Party was paid for, and banned town meetings, etc.
