I can use integers to represent real-world situations

Integers with Temperature

• Zero splits the positive temperatures and the negative temperatures

• As you get warmer in temperature, integers get larger and go up the thermometer

• As you get colder in temperature, integers get smaller and go down the thermometer

Integers with Elevation

• Zero is equal to sea level in elevation

• As you get higher in elevation, the integer gets larger

• As you get lower in elevation, the integers get smaller

• Negative integers are below sea level, positive integers are above sea level.
