Person or thing within the story.
There are different types of character

PROTAGONIST
The leading character or one of the main characters in a drama, movie, novel, or other fictional text.
The “good guy”
Who the entire story is mostly about

ANTAGONIST
Character that is actively against or opposes the protagonist
The “bad guy”
Who the main character is battling
This can also be the protagonist if they are struggling internally

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
How the character changes throughout a story
Round characters
Characters with personality, have depth, more complex and complicated: main characters
Flat characters
Characters who are the same the whole story, no complexity, usually background characters
