What is a integer ?
By now we should all know what a integer is. Its the whole numbers, plus their counterparts less than zero, and zero. The negative integers are those less than zero (–1, –2, –3, and so on); the positive integers are those greater than zero (1, 2, 3, and so on).

Here are the steps in adding integers
Forget about the negative or positive signs
if there are more negative then positive then you will know that the outcome will be negative
If there are more positive than negative than the outcome will be positive
The negative and positive numbers will rule each other out whatever is left is your answer

Remember
If the signs are the same keep it the same and add.
If the signs are different subtract and take the sign of the bigger sign.
